Youths have been urged to harness their talents in sports and use available opportunities to build professional careers and sustainable livelihoods.
Speaking during the launch of the Etaya Tournament 2026 at Masakwe Comprehensive School in Kitutu Chache North Constituency, Kisii County, Broadcasting and Telecommunications Principal Secretary Stephen Isaboke said grassroots sporting competitions and facilities are key to identifying, nurturing and developing young talent.
Isaboke cited successful sports personalities from the Gusii region, including world champion athlete Hellen Obiri, as examples of how talent can transform lives when given the right support and opportunities.
