Francis, mwenye umri wa miaka 88, anaugua homa ya mapafu na maradhi mengine ambayo yameathiri hali ya kupumua.
Vatican imesema jana alhamisi kwamba afya ya Papa imeimarika kidogo na moyo wake unafanya kazi vyema, lakini wamesema itachukua muda kujua iwapo dawa anayopewa inafanya kazi.
Madaktari wamesema kwamba mgonjwa mwenye umri mkubwa kama Papa Francis, huenda akachukua hadi wiki mbili kupona Nimonia.
