A philanthropist in Kisii County has come to the aid of a grieving family after their daughter, a secondary school student, died while receiving treatment at a private hospital. Seventeen-year-old Sheila Kemunto Boera, a Form Three student at Nyakoora Mixed Secondary School in Kegogi, Marani Ward, reportedly took her own life because of lack of school fees. A relative, Martha Boyani, said the philanthropist Joshua Makori Nyarenchi stepped in and cleared the medical bill of four hundred thousand shillings.
