Police in Murang’a have arrested three suspects — a man and two women — believed to be behind a series of abductions and robberies that have shaken towns across the county. The trio was intercepted by detectives in a dramatic operation in the Kangema area, where a saloon car was waylaid and the suspects taken into custody. Authorities allege the group abducted two women from separate locations and demanded ransom from their families. In response to the rising insecurity, police have increased surveillance and patrols across the region.
