Ncic has summoned former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over remarks he made suggesting that if the IEBC interferes with the upcoming 2027 general election, then the 2007 post-election violence “will look like a Christmas party.” According to NCIC Chairperson Samuel Kobia, the comments are not only disrespectful to victims of the 2007 clashes but also risk inciting public unrest.
