The Judicial Service Commission has condemned the chaos witnessed outside Ruiru Law Courts during the re-arrest of DCP Kiambu youth leader Peter Kinyanjui, alias Kawanjiru, shortly after his release. In a statement, the commission singled out the use of a gun within the precincts of the court, which they say endangered the lives of civilians. Further, it faulted the police officers for discharging a firearm, which they say amounted to excessive, unjustified and an affront to the authority and dignity of the Judiciary.
