Machakos county government has defended the recent demolition of Miraa kiosks at Miwani area of Machakos town arguing it was in line with its strategy to enhance security. Machakos Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi, has confirmed that several kiosks owned by miraa traders erected along the Machakos-kyumbi road at the turn off to Governor's office popularly known as white house were demolished following a security outcry.
