Eyewitnesses have shared shocking testimonies of alleged war crimes committed by Russia's Wagner group in Mali. Refugees told the BBC that civilians were brutally tortured and executed in military bases in central Mali. Wagner ended its mission in Mali in June this year. But about 80% of the newly formed Africa Corps, now under the control of Russia’s ministry of defence, are former Wagner soldiers.
