Senate will hold a special sitting this afternoon to debate the impeachment motion by Nyamira County Assembly to remove from office their governor, Amos Nyaribo. Senate speaking Amos Kingi has gazetted the special sitting to have senators convene to consider the impeachment motion, which accuses the governor of, among other things, abuse of office. Nyaribo was impeached by 23 members of the County Assembly on the 25th of November 2025 in a meeting that was boycotted by 12 MCAs.
