KNCHR calls for framework to compensate protest victims

The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights has called on the executive to take the court judgement on compensation of protest victims in stride and move with speed to enact an enduring framework for redress of all human rights abuses. The Kerugoya High Court on Thursday suspended the gazette notice that tasked a panel of experts with designing a framework for the compensation of victims of demonstrations and public protests.
