Members of the political class have been urged to embrace and preach peace and cohesion as the country gears towards the 2027 general election. The clarion call was made at a Nairobi hotel during a traditional wedding between Amran Abdullah and Abdifatah Samow, son of a prominent Mandera county businessman, Hajj Samow. Attendants who included the region’s professionals, elders, and political class saw the leaders putting aside their political differences and emphasize the importance of peaceful co-existence.
