Curfew imposed in Transmara West and South after skirmishes

Deputy Inspector General of police eliud langat has announced a dusk-to-dawn curfew in fifteen areas of Transmara South and Transmara West following the ongoing unrest in Angata Barikoi. Speaking after a special security meeting in Lologorian, Langat said all persons in possession of illegal firearms have 72 hours to surrender them or face the full force of the law. And as our reporter Chrispine Otieno reports, one person was shot dead overnight in Angata Barikoi in an attack by suspected criminals hours after the Rift Valley regional commissioner held a multi-agency meeting in the area.
