Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament Johana Ngeno has called for the immediate disarmament, following tribal violence along the border of Lolgorian and Angata Barrikoi wards in Transmara.
Ngeno said the illegal firearms should be mopped up, and that holders of licensed guns should undergo fresh vetting.
He called on Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen to take charge of the security situation, and the ministry of lands to resolve the long standing land disputes in the area.
Ngeno spoke after visiting victims admitted at AGC Tenwek Hospital in Bomet county.
