DP Kindiki warns corruption threatens Kenya's economy

Calls for sealing loopholes that facilitate graft have dominated the 9th devolution conference, with the government now showing renewed commitment in dealing with the scourge. Speaking at the closure of the conference on Friday, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki called on county assemblies to not abuse the newly handed financial autonomy, and focus on proper oversight that will ensure the success of devolution.
