Youth have been called upon to respect the elderly and reject outdated beliefs that expose older persons to violence, including lynching over witchcraft accusations. The appeal was made in Kisii County during celebrations marking the 105th birthday of Mama Agnes Moraa Ombaki, where leaders and family members highlighted the need to protect senior citizens and strengthen government social protection programmes.
