Over 50,000 students in Murang’a County have benefited from bursaries as the schools re-open today. Governor Irungu Kangata says 520 top-performing students in the 2025 Kenya Junior School Education Assessment from all public primary schools in the county have been awarded 10,000 shillings each, and 500 children with disabilities in special needs schools have been awarded one-off cheques of 5000 shillings each. The program, according to the governor, aims to promote healthy competition and improved academic performance.
