MANDERA PERSISTENT DROUGHT The National Government in partnership with the County Government of Mandera, have scaled up coordinated drought-response measures to address severe water shortages affecting communities across the county. The National Drought Management Authority (NDMA), Chief Executive Officer, Hared Hassan, rolled out fuel subsidies to 12 strategic boreholes in Mandera North, Mandera West, and Banisa constituencies to help sustain water pumping operations and reduce pressure on overstretched facilities that serve both households and livestock.
