Members of the South C business community in Nairobi whose businesses were affected by the collapse of a building early this month are counting losses running up to 70 million shillings. Addressing the media as they embarked on a cleanup exercise to remove the debris from their marketplace, the business community, led by their chairman, Dr Rashid Ali Omar appealed for support from the government to all the affected families. They further dismissed reports that 85% of buildings in Nairobi are unsafe for occupation.
