Rift in ODM party

Cracks in ODM’S western leadership continue to widen, with factions allied to former Kakamega governor trading barbs with members who recently held a delegates meeting in kakamega town. The factions have targeted odm party leader Oburu odinga and his deputy Simba Arati, accusing Oparanya of fueling divisions within the Kakamega branch after staging a parallel meeting in Butere last week. They warned that if the party leaders do not resolve the standoff, they may break away and form a splinter group, calling on Odinga and his deputy to respect Oparanya and maintain unity in the party.
