Three people died in Bulagu village, Budalangi constituency in Busia county after their house was razed down by an inferno. Patrick Oring’o Bahati and his two children are said to have been asleep when the fire broke out at around 1:00am on Saturday.
According to the Deputy Chief of Budalang’i, Oscar Ngira, despite the three screaming for help and neighbors responding, the fire had already engulfed the entire house, making rescue efforts impossible. The three were burnt beyond recognition and their bodies have since been moved to Port Victoria Hospital mortuary. The area Deputy Chief has confirmed that further investigations into the incident have been launched.
