Chaos briefly disrupts burial of Kibabi University deputy vice chancellor in Bungoma

Chaos breifly disrupted the burial of Deputy Vice-Chancellor Profesa Donald Siamba of Kibabii University in Kimilili, Bungoma County, after politicians clashed publicly over county leadership, development, and the succession of the university. There was pushing and shoving on the podium as Senator Wafula wakoli accused the county government of misappropriating county funds Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to launch an independent and speedy probe to establish the true cause of Profesa Siamba’s death. Other leaders including national Assembly speaker Moses wetangula vowed to ensure that succession battles at Kibabii University do not destabilise the institution.
