The united Opposition is tonight challenging President William Ruto to brace for a tough 2027 contest, one they say will be fought on ideology and policy, not personal interests. This comes after months of criticism that the coalition was agendaless, brought together merely to serve personal gains and divide the country along tribal lines. Opposition chiefs Rigathi Gachagua, Fred Matiang’i, and Justin Muturi, who attended Sunday Mass in Njabini, Nyandarua County, also took the opportunity to rally the country’s youth. They urged young Kenyans to register as voters and support the Opposition in what they describe as a mission to deliver much-needed leadership.
