Mathira residents protest 9-year-old Shantel’s murder, torch suspect’s homes

Police in Nyeri spent most of Tuesday morning in running battles with residents from Rititi, Mathira, who were protesting the brutal killing of nine-year-old Shantel Waruguru. The child was discovered murdered and dumped inside a pit latrine earlier in the day.
