One killed as rival ODM factions clash ahead of planned Mbale rally

One person died as supporters in the rival factions of ODM clashed in Mbale ahead of a planned rally by Orange democratic movement party rebels . The Linda Mwananchi faction, opposed to the broad-based government had earlier held a rally in Kakamega, the third in a series, after Busia and Kitengela, where they said they would continue fighting for the rights of Kenyans. the politicians said they would not work with President William Ruto's administration nor the Linda Ground Group in their party, that is pushing for a coalition with the President's party UDA.
