    The first edition of the Africa Editors Congress has kicked off in Nairobi, with media leaders across the continent raising concerns over the growing use of Artificial Intelligence in newsrooms. Editors say that while AI presents opportunities for faster content production and fact-checking, it also poses some ethical challenges and threats to editorial integrity. The forum called for clear guidelines and stronger capacity building to ensure that technology strengthens not weakens, journalism in Africa.
