Khalwale joins other Western Kenya leaders in opposing the privatization bill

    Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale has joined hands with other Western Kenya leaders in opposing plans to privatize Mumias and Nzoia sugar companies. Khalwale who spoke in a prayer event attended by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua said the government should not let off the sugar mills, saying they are a great resource to Western Kenya and particularly the Luhya community. Khalwale's sentiments have been echoed by other Azimio leaders led by ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna who spoke in Vihiga.
