High court halts mandatory e-procurement, backs use of manual systems

It is a reprieve for all public procurement entities, at least until mid-October, after the high court issued a conservatory order suspending the mandatory use of the electronic procurement system. The court issued the orders following a petition by the Council of Governors and four others, who argued that the national government's decision was forceful, rushed, and marred by a lack of expertise.
