Civil servants will get a salary increment of between 9 to 7 percent. This follows the signing of a collective bargaining agreement between the government and Union of Kenya Civil Servants. Principal Secretary State Department for Public Service Amos Gathecha says the first phase of implementation of the CBA will cost 1.13 billion shillings and will be backdated to 1st July 2023. Another 1.12 billion shillings will be spent in the second phase effective from 1st July 2024.
