19-year-old South Sudanese refugee wins $5,000 in Africa's Next Supermodel
The second edition of Africa’s Next Supermodel saw a 19-year-old South Sudanese refugee from Kakuma refugee camp take home $5,000 (Sh 750,000) and a shot at being the latest global fashion sensation. Chol Khan stood out among a pool of 36 exceptionally talented contestants from Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Ethiopia and Rwanda during the modelling competition that was concluded on October 28 at the Radisson Blu hotel, in Upper Hill, Nairobi.
