PS Muthoni raises concern about a spike in drug abuse
The government has issued a strong warning against the growing menace of drug and substance abuse, especially among the youth, citing tobacco as the gateway to more dangerous addictions such as alcohol, bhang, cocaine, and other hard drugs. Speaking in Kirinyaga County, Health and Professional Standards Principal Secretary Mary Muthoni said the Ministry of Health has noted with grave concern the persistent presence of illicit brews and the public health risks they pose to families and communities.
