CJ Koome accuses government of attempting to erode Judiciary's independence

Chief Justice Martha Koome has once again defended the independence of the judiciary calling on anyone with corruption or misconduct complaints to lodge their cases as per the constitution instead of name-calling, maiming, or shaming. She urged judges and judicial officers to ignore the condemnations and execute their duties without fear, favor, or intimidation. She has further called on Kenyans to be on the frontline to defend the constitution and rule of law. Chief Justice Martha Koome was speaking at the Milimani courts during the handover of the position of chief registrar of Judiciary from Hon Anne Amadi to deputy chief registrar of Judiciary Paul Ndemo.
