Shambulizi la Wahouthi lasababisha vifo vya watu kadhaa
Jeshi la Marekani limesema Shambulizi la kombora lililofanywa na Wahouthi kwenye meli ya biashara ya bahari ya sham jumatano limesabaabisha vifo vya watu kadhaa.
Waasi wa Kihouthi wa Yemen wamedai kuhusika na shambulizi hilo, wakati msemaji wa jeshi amethibitsh ahilo kwenye maelezo yake kwenye televisheni.
Shambulizi hilo limesababisha moto katika meli inayomilikiwa na Ugiriki yenye bendera ya Barbados ya True confidence karibu maili 50 kutoka pwani ya bandari ya Yemen huko Aden.
Haya ni matukio ya kwanza ya vifo kuripotiwa tangu wa- Houthi waanze mgomo dhidi ya usafiri wa meli katika mojawapo ya njia za baharini zenye shughuli nyingi zaidi duniani katikati ya Novemba.
Wamesema wanafanya kazi kwa mshikamano na wapalestina kupinga hatua za kijeshi za Israel huko Gaza.
Uingereza na Marekani zimekuwa zikifanya mashambulizi ya kulipiza kisasi dhidi ya waasi wa Houthi na uthibitisho wa vifo unaweza kusababisha shinikizo kwa hatua kali za kijeshi.
