Ambitious training program launched to enhance ocean literacy

An ambitious program to empower coastal communities to care for the oceans has been launched, spearheaded by the Marine Conservation and Ocean Stewardship project. The program seeks to address the challenges facing marine life through training on Ocean literacy and marine conservation. Teachers and church leaders have since established environmental clubs and groups to share knowledge and ideas on protecting the oceans. Testimonies from the faith-based leaders and teachers revealed increased awareness among communities on the need for conservation of oceans.
