The Kenya National Union of Nurses has condemned an attack on striking nurses in Siaya County, accusing the county government of hiring the goons to intimidate the striking workers. The union’s Secretary General, Seth Panyako, says the nurses will not succumb to intimidation, warning that their demands must be met by the County Government of Siaya before they resume work. Siaya KNUN officials say about 20 nurses were injured during the fracas.
