    For the last two and a half decades, Kenya’s apparel sector has seen tremendous growth, backed by the african growth and opportunities act (AGOA) in the united states, which allowed Kenyan-made apparel access into the vast american market free of tariffs. But with AGOA now expired as of the 30th of September 2025, the sector is in limbo with no deal yet in sight.
