Business was interrupted in Nairobi’s Central Business District for the better part of Thursday as disgruntled county health workers took to the streets to demand payment of their salaries. The irate medics from seven unions are accusing the county government of failing to pay them salaries for 3 months and remit third-party deductions. Attempts to get an audience with Governor Johnson Sakaja, however, flopped despite them camping outside his office. Nancy Okware has the details.
