Kilifi County government has launched a program that seeks to sensitize the community against the killings of the elderly on witchcraft allegations. The Campaign dubbed ‘My elder My Beacon,’ ‘Mzee Ni nguzo’ is being spearheaded by the Malindi District Cultural Association (MADCA). According to the associations, Secretary General, Joseph Karisa Mwarandu the program was arrived at following increased threats the elderly people are facing in the region.
