Leaders from the North Eastern region hold meeting in Nairobi

The caucus of North Eastern Politcal Leaders Forum comprising of former elected leaders from the region, has held a one-day retreat at the Bomas of Kenya.

The forum agreed on agenda items they said are holding back the region from advancing. The issues itemised included unity among the leadership of the region, insecurity challenge posed by al-Shabaab, and infrastructure development. The forum also resoved to work with the serving leaders in order to compliment their efforts.
