The Kenya Defence Forces is banking on continental solidarity, inter-agency cooperation and international collaboration to help the fight against improvised explosive devices. Vice Chief of Defence Forces Lieutenant General Jhon Omenda says Kenya has borne the cost of IEDs, losing soldiers, police officers and innocent civilians something that calls for close ties with partners. Lt. Gen Omenda was speaking when he presided over the 7th Africa Annual Counter Improvised Explosive Device Conference in Nairobi.
