Members of the National Assembly have questioned how workers at the Postal Corporation of Kenya have been surviving since May 2025 without pay. Appearing before the committee on communication, information and innovation, Postmaster General John Tonui admitted financial challenges at the corporation with wages consuming 75% of its revenue, which he said has been worsened by an inflated workforce of over 2,000 employees. The corporation, according to TonuI posted a 487 million profit before tax, a rebound from a 1.08 billion loss last year.
