Calls for IEBC to partner with Churches in civic education

    Archbishop Prof. Eugene Kavune, President of the Peace Movement in Africa and Advisor in Geneva, Switzerland, has urged the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC to Partner with Churches on voter registration and public awareness to achieve the targeted numbers across the country. Kavune, further said Churches play a major role in society, and there is need for IEBC to intensify civic education especially among unregistered youth. During the opening of the new Laikipia Peace Ambassadors CBO office, Archbishop Prof. Kavune launched a renewed call for peace and civic responsibility in the region. He was accompanied by Ambassador Rev. Dr. Mathias, the Geneva-based President of Elections in the World, who is in Kenya on a peace mission ahead of the 2027 General Election.
