Shammah Kiteme, President of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK): If Kenyans are given jobs in engineering, we can create over 500 additional jobs in sectors such as agriculture, irrigation, dam construction, and the blue economy. Currently, there are over 27,000 engineers registered in Kenya, but sadly, 50% of them are unemployed.
