Pockets of violence were reported as various candidates were cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to contest in the November 27th by-election. In Kasipul, tension flared after UPA candidate Sam Rateng’ Otiende’s convoy was attacked in Oyugis, leaving several vehicles damaged and supporters injured.
