The Supreme Court has today concluded hearing a petition in which the national assembly, the office of the attorney general, and the national treasury cabinet secretary are seeking the reinstatement of the Finance Act 2023. This follows a ruling by the court of appeal on 31st July, 2024 that declared the act unconstitutional after the filing of six appeals and three cross-appeals.
