12 hospitals closed in alleged SHA fraud crackdown, says Duale

Health cabinet secretary Aden Duale has announced the closure of 12 medical facilities since the 30th of last month, citing fraud in the ongoing crackdown. Speaking in Garissa on Saturday, Duale named 5 counties which he said were perennial health fraud zones. Mary Muoki reports that the health CS says 18 facilities are already facing court proceedings, with a total of 1000 health institutions closed down since the crackdown began.
