17-YEAR-OLD STUDENT SHOT DURING NANYUKI PROTESTS LAID TO REST IN EMOTIONAL BURIAL

A 17-year-old student, Sylvester Muigai Ndung'u, who was reportedly shot dead during protests against an anti-Ebola quarantine facility in Nanyuki Town, Laikipia County, has been laid to rest in a low-key burial ceremony at Kaiti village in Laikipia West Sub-county. The emotional funeral service was attended by close family members and friends, many of whom broke down as they mourned the loss of the young student described as a promising life with aspirations of becoming a Catholic priest.
