27 counties put on notice over development spending

Twenty-seven counties have been put on notice for failing to allocate adequate funding to development projects. Speaking during the County Fiscal Performance Measurement Ceremony at Parliament, Senate Speaker Amason Kingi accused the affected county governments of neglecting development in favor of recurrent expenditure, including what he described as excessive spending on travel.
