29-year-old Nalamay Salome Dokhle quest for education saw her walk 14 kilometres every day across the dry and rugged landscape of Korr Location in Laisamis Constituency, Marsabit County for the last two years, to attend adult literacy classes. Nalamay never attended formal school as a child. But when the opportunity to go back to school presented itself , she refused to let distance, age or the demands of pastoralist life stand in her way. Here is her story.
