7 Kenyans deported from South Africa for illegal work

South Africa has deported seven Kenyans who were arrested on Tuesday in Johannesburg for allegedly processing visa applications for refugees to the United States. The seven are accused of taking up work at a visa processing centre in South Africa without a work permit. South Africa's Department of Home Affairs says the group that arrived in the country as tourists had previously applied for work visas but were denied. The arrest and deportation has however, been seen as an escalation of the differences between Trump and Ramaphosa’s administration over the controversial United States resettlement programme targeting Afrikaners.
