Players in the digital sector from across the continent have been challenged to foster collaborations, innovation, and policies that support a secure, inclusive, and resilient digital ecosystem. ICT Secretary in the Ministry of Information Communication and the Digital Economy Mary Kerema, who was speaking at the Africa Internet Summit 2026 in Nairobi, emphasized the importance of digital infrastructure and inclusive participation saying the space was a world playing field which requires countries coming together to tame spread of harmful contents and ensure the internet serve as an information superhighway with positive socio-economic impacts.
